- Slice the beef thinly against the grain. Freeze for 30 minutes beforehand for easier slicing.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, grated pear, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, green onions, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Add beef to the marinade, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (overnight for best results).
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef in batches to avoid overcrowding, letting it sear for caramelized edges.
- Serve hot with steamed rice, lettuce wraps, or alongside Korean side dishes (banchan).
