Method
- Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking hot. Add olive oil.
- Sear steak bites in a single layer without overcrowding, about 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Work in batches if necessary.
- Remove steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet.
- Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using. Allow sauce to thicken slightly.
- Return steak bites to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and warm through for 1 minute.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or steamed broccoli for extra flavor and nutrition. To spice it up, add extra red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce.
