Ingredients

Garlic Bread Base
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread or pre-made garlic bread
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 pinch salt
Pizza Toppings
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers sliced, any color
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni or sausage optional

Equipment

  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and salt to create garlic butter. Spread evenly over the cut bread halves.
  4. Toast the bread for 5 minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
  5. Spread pizza sauce over the toasted bread.
  6. Top with mozzarella, Parmesan, and your choice of vegetables or meats.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil or a drizzle of olive oil before serving.

Notes

For a crispier base, place the bread on a baking rack instead of a baking sheet. Avoid overloading with toppings to prevent sogginess.
