Ingredients

Caramel Apple Filling
  • 2 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 12 soft caramel cubes or 1 tsp caramel sauce each
Assembly
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough or puff pastry/crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar optional for topping

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Medium Skillet

Method

  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for 5–7 minutes until tender and thickened. Let cool for 15 minutes.
  2. Flatten dough rounds into 3–4 inch circles. Add a spoonful of filling and a caramel cube to the center. Fold dough over and pinch to seal tightly.
  3. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes or air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
