- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Toss chicken wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Arrange wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. If desired, thicken with cornstarch slurry.
- Remove wings from oven and toss them in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
- Optional: Return coated wings to the oven or air fryer for 2–3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
Notes
For a spicy variation, add chili flakes, cayenne, or sriracha to the sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions for presentation.
