Ingredients

Basic Sizzle Steak
  • 2 sizzle steaks thinly sliced sirloin or round cut
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for searing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional, for extra flavor
Garlic Butter Sizzle Steak
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Equipment

  • Skillet or Cast-Iron Pan
  • Tongs
  • Mixing bowls
  • Knife and Cutting Board

Method

  1. Season both sides of the sizzle steaks with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat until very hot. Add olive oil.
  3. Place steaks into the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes per side without moving to develop a good sear.
  4. Optional: Add butter and minced garlic to the pan during the last minute of cooking and baste the steaks.
  5. Remove steaks from the pan and let rest for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Slice thinly against the grain and serve immediately.

Notes

Sizzle steak is best cooked over high heat for a quick sear. Resting the steak after cooking ensures juicy results. Use in sandwiches, stir-fries, fajita bowls, salads, or creamy pasta dishes.
